Eating Well Tip of the Week

Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

Need a makeover? It’s time for spring cleaning – and we’re not just talking about our closets. Spring is the perfect time to change up our diets and freshen up our eating habits.

Vegetables are an important part of our diets year round, but they are more abundant and easier to find during the spring and summer months. Pick a different raw veggie each week for afternoon snacking at the office: carrot sticks, bell pepper strips, or cucumber slices. Enjoy with a small amount of hummus or nut butter. Look for fresh spinach, kale, and collard greens at your farmer’s market or local grocery store and add to stir fries or salads for a healthy boost.
