The Mediterranean Diet Pyramid Poster has been updated by Oldways and redesigned by illustrator George Middleton. The new poster beautifully depicts the healthy foods and drinks of the Mediterranean diet, and reflects updates including:
- Gathering plant foods (fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, legumes, seeds, olives and olive oil) in a single group to emphasize their health benefits.
- Featuring herbs and spices, for reasons of both health and taste. Also, herbs and spices contribute to the national identities of various Mediterranean cuisines.
- Highlighting the healthfulness of fish and shellfish, and the benefits of eating fish and shellfish at least two times per week.
- Emphasizing the importance of physical activity and enjoying healthy meals with friends and family.
- The updated Mediterranean Diet Pyramid color poster is 24" x 36" in size.
